Book Review

The book is about Walt a retired man who doesn't know what to do with himself and he gets bored very easily. He is a very nosy, curious person who wants to know everything that is going on in the neighbourhood. The story is set in Walt's garden, his neighbours' gardens and the street outside his house. It is an interesting story, which keeps you hooked, because you want to know what Walt is up to and what he finds out about other people's gardens. The book has some lovely photos especially of Walt's neighbour Jill's beautiful flowers. The pictures help you to know the story. The text is clear, and the speech bubbles are helpful. I would recommend this book to a friend and to people who have dyslexia like me. I think libraries should have copies of this book for adult literacy students to borrow. I am 67 and I enjoyed reading about the experiences of someone who is a similar age to me, and I am really interested to find out what Walt gets up to in the next book in the series.
