Purchased for a present

I purchased these books as a present for someone and am very pleased with them. The pages are beautifully illustrated and the print clear. I think the recipient will like them.

Engaging

My learners read the previous Liz and Joe series and loved the humour and style of the books and I was pleased this series followed the same format. My learners took copies home during the lockdown period and we have talked about the stories together in our online meet. Highly recommended!

Engaging stories for learning English

It is often difficult to find appropriate stories for adults learning English. However, the 'Walt' series by Jenni Cole is a fantastic resource which has engaging and humorous stories that are easy to follow and help to learn new grammar. They provide a great starting point for conversations on a range of issues. I will be recommending them to everyone!

Walt's Adventure Series

What a lovely humorous selection of books. They introduce lots of lovely vocabulary in realistic settings and the photographs are great. I particularly like Walt. He is such a typically English character and I recognised elements of lots of people that I know in him. It is lovely to have his age group represented. I think that my students will really enjoy these.

A familar character!

These are written in a comic book style and are a funny read. The lovely, colourful photographs of everyday life mean that the stories can be used with a range of levels, as readers move on from looking at the photos to reading the text. The places and situations are ones readers will recognise and there are plenty of opportunities for discussion.
